About the poet

I began my working life as a journalist, taking up gliding as a hobby, before combining the two as the editor of the sport’s national magazine, Sailplane & Gliding.

After that, I made my own poetry pilgrimage to the University of St Andrews, where I earned a master’s degree with distinction in creative writing.

My experience of leading workshops and offering one-to-one poetry tuition includes five summers as a poetry tutor on the University of St Andrews’ Creative Writing Summer Programme.

I am currently facilitating the Inner Room project, piloting a new venture called Poems for the path ahead, and working towards my first collection.
